By 2030, it is projected that North Carolina will have around 400,000 people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. The North Carolina General Assembly mandated that the state develop an actionable strategic plan to address dementia and help relieve the burden on families caring for someone with dementia by 2017.

Trinity United Methodist Church invites caregivers and professionals affected by Alzheimer’s Disease to their workshop. The name of the event is Dementia Capable North Carolina: A Strategic Plan for Addressing Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias with Mark Hensley, MS, presenting. Hensley is the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services Dementia Services Coordinator.

Trinity United Methodist Church will hold the event on January 11th, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There is no charge for the event, but reservations are required. To reserve your seat call: 910-862-3706
