Elizabethtown Facility Donates 2,400 Hours to Serve Their Neighbors on October 2, 2017 #fortivecares

Elizabethtown, NC – On October 2, 2017, more than 300 SPT employees will join forces to give back to their communities. SPT has offered every employee a day to volunteer as a team, or with the community organization of their choice. The SPT team joins over 100 events around the world, sponsored by the other operating companies and locations of their parent company, Fortive Corporation.  In Elizabethtown and surrounding areas, the SPT employees will be working on approximately 10 projects to feed the hungry, boost educational opportunities, and fight homelessness.

“With over 300 employees in the Elizabethtown, SPT is committed supporting the community by giving back our time and resources,” said Andrew McCauley, SPT President.  “We have a history in this community and we look forward to continuing that partnership and are pleased to kick off our first Fortive Day of Caring.”

Throughout the day, SPT Elizabethtown employees will be contributing over 2400 hours, painting schools, building flower beds and sorting food at area food banks.  Some of the organizations that will participate in the day include: Bladen County Emergency Services Training Center, Emereau Charter School, and the United Way.
