Golf Trivia From Vineyard Golf
Q. Does pro golfer Steve Stricker’s daughter play golf?
A. Yes, she is playing college golf at the University of Wisconsin, following in her mom’s and sister’s footsteps. Mom Nicki and sister Bobbi both were on the Wisconsin Badger golf team and now it’s Lizzi’s turn to carry on the family tradition.
Humorous Golf Comment
Here is a humorous golf comment courtesy of Vineyard Golf at White Lake:
“Golf is a game beyond all mental diagnosis. One of the most important factors in golf is the grip, including the left thumb. Henry Picard, the tall young man from Hershey, came to the Masters tournament with a sore left thumb, and so he had to change his grip from the overlapping to the interlocking … But it was Henry Picard who won the fifth Masters with a sore thumb, a new grip and a melancholy foreboding.”
