In true Ray Stevens fashion, a squirrel has recently been attempting to join the congregation of the Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church.
Walter McDuffie, of McDuffie Pest Control, said the squirrel gained entry to the church through the attic. It seems the squirrel then gnawed his way into the sanctuary.
According to Pastor Chris Denny, the squirrel caused damage to the church’s organ and also damaged some of the pipes that are attached to the organ.
Denny said that the church is currently in the process of locating a company to repair the organ.
The squirrel has, thus far, eluded capture.
