POSITION TITLE:
Communications Consultant- Bladen County

FUNCTION: 
Provides system marketing support for the sale and provision of business telecommunications systems and residential service products. Works to establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with business members. Initiates ideas and research for new products and services.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research and compile market data on existing and potential business and residential customers and product/services to permit determination of best mix of products, rates, promotions, and market.
Develops and implements campaigns to sell products and services.
Maintains close rapport with all staff members to keep abreast of all system activity.
Develops leads and nurtures positive, productive relationships with customers to attract and retain business, to increase usage and awareness of services, and to introduce new and enhanced service offerings while enhancing the corporation’s image.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
An associate degree in business/marketing or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent is preferred. In exceptional cases, work experience may be considered in lieu of degree at the discretion of the cooperative. A strong aptitude for consultative selling is required. Two years’ experience of demonstrated sales success is preferred. Employee must be familiar with, and able to demonstrate effective use of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) software.
