RALEIGH, N.C. – Tuesday (September 24) is National Voter Registration Day, a time to register to vote and remind voters of their important role in American democracy.
The State Board of Elections will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Bicentennial Mall outside the North Carolina Museum of History on Edenton Street in Raleigh to provide information on the voting process and assist eligible individuals who need to register or update their registrations.
“We encourage all eligible individuals to register and vote to help choose the elected officials who will lead our communities, our state and our country into the future,” said Karen Brinson Bell, State Board executive director.
Voters may check their voter registration status at the following link: https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/. Through this “Voter Lookup” tool, voters can also find their voting districts and Election Day polling places, among other information. Voters can also view their sample ballots, if they’re eligible to vote in an upcoming election.
To register or update your registration, you may download a voter registration form from the State Board website:https://www.ncsbe.gov/Portals/0/Forms/NCVoterRegForm06W.pdf. Instructions are included. You can also get a voter registration application at the State Board of Elections office, county boards of elections offices, public libraries, high schools and many other government agencies.

To register to vote locally you may visit the Bladen County Board of Elections office at 301 S. Cypress Street in Elizabethtown.
The next election for Bladen County will be the 2019 Municipal Election this coming November. The election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5. Voters must be registered by Oct. 11.
The One-Stop Location and Hours for the 2019 Municipal Election will be held at the Bladen County Board of Elections during the following dates and times:
Wednesday, October 16 – Friday, October 18
Monday, October 21 – Friday, October 25
Monday, October 27 – Friday, November 1
from 9:30 am – 6:30 pm
The only towns participating in the one-stop voting are Elizabethtown, Bladenboro and Clarkton, according to the Bladen County Board of Elections’ website.
