BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — State board election staff are investigating two reported and alleged cases of double voting in Bladen County from the recent election in the 9th Congressional District.
Spokesman Pat Gannon says based on past experiences what appears to be a double vote may not always be and may not even be an intentional violation of the law.
Gannon says poll worker error can cause a vote to be attributed to the wrong person and the board has seen cases where cognitive impairment has played a role.
The investigation is ongoing.
