SteeringCommitteeFolks in the county are being asked to express their opinion regarding what they see as challenges and accomplishments in Bladen County for the Bring on Bladen survey. The deadline for surveys for Bring on Bladen is Tuesday, May 31.

The Bring on Bladen survey is a project of the Bladen County Steering Committee.

Many folks in Bladen County still have not participated in the survey, but you still have time to share your thoughts, said Jan Maynor of the Lumber River Council of Government and a member of the Bladen County Steering Committee.

“Our goal was 3,500 surveys. We haven’t received that many surveys,” said Bladen County Steering Committee member Charlotte Smith.

It has been 10 years and it is time once again to take a serious at Bladen County, and evaluate where we have been and where we as residents want to see our county grow.

The Bladen County Steering Committee is made up of 20 individuals who want to hear both the good and the bad with regards to Bladen County. They also want to hear your  ideas about what you want Bladen County to look like in the future.

The data from the surveys will be compiled and presented to the steering committee. The goal of the steering committee is to take the opinions of the citizens about how to improve Bladen County and come up with strategic plans and then implement those plans with the help of community members.
