On Tuesday, August 2, during the FFA State Leadership Conference, Mrs. Mary Stokes spoke with a large group of FFA members from all over the state. She was part of a program that highlighted the history of the three FFA Camps in North Carolina.
Mrs. Stokes recalled that as a small child, her family sold the land at White Lake, where the original camp was established. She also told the FFA members stories about visiting the Tom Browne FFA Camp in Buncombe County with her husband, Fulton Stokes, and his students. The program was headed up by Jason Davis, State FFA Coordinator.
