On Friday, January 10, 2020, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted a vehicle stop on US 701 in the White Lake area for displaying an expired registration plate. During the vehicle stop, Agents found a stolen firearm that was in possession of the driver, Shon Austin Saleem, 24 years old, from Robeson
County.
Agents learned that the firearm was entered stolen from Bladen County and that Saleem was a convicted felon. A small amount of marijuana was also located during the search.
Saleem was arrested and charged with; Possession of Firearm By Felon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Simple Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Possess Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License Revoked, and Expired Registration.
