Folks are getting their Christmas shopping lists written and checking them twice as stores are gearing up for a busy Black Friday.
In Bladen County, Bladen Builders Supply, Fishers Mens Shop and Ladies Shop, Big Blue Store and Leinwand’s Department Store all have specials planned for their shoppers beginning Friday morning and continuing through the weekend.
Bladen Builders Supply is offering 10 percent off power tools, cloths and mule bags. They will also have other bargains available on both Friday and Saturday.
Fishers Mens Shop and Ladies Shop is offering 20 percent off everything including sale merchandise. The sale will last for four days only. The store is planning on being open on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. through Christmas.
Leinwand’s Department Store is offering 25 percent off all merchandise now through Sunday, Nov. 29.
Some stores are preparing to open up on Thanksgiving afternoon. In Bladen County, Goody’s department store will open on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26) from 2 p.m. until 1 a.m. and will be open on Black Friday (Nov. 27) from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Bargains include door buster specials and a $100 gift card giveaway and the first 75 customers in line Thursday will receive a surprise scratch-off card. Three customers will reveal a $100, $75 or $50 gift card. Seventy-two customers will reveal a $10 coupon.
The Walmart stores will be open at 6 p.m. Thursday. They will be offering bargains on electronics, toys and games.
