For the third year in a row the Summer Sounds Concert Series has been a great hit for the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. The series has grown every year and Thursday, August 25th held the last concert for the 2016 series with raving success.
The Cape Fear Farmer’s Market in Elizabethtown was packed full with the local band, Blackwater Rhythm & Blues entertaining the crowd. “This crowd is amazing and the bands have been great,” Jennifer Leggett, a chamber board member and Director at MinuteMan Food Mart said about the event.
“Blackwater Rhythm & Blues always draws a great crowd,” Dawn Maynard, Executive Director of the chamber said earlier when talking about the last concert.
Vendors were set up offering refreshing treats and meals. Sponsors were out supporting the event with give-a-ways, helping hands and smiles.
The chamber’s board members and ambassadors were seen working hard and networking with folks as well. Maynard thanked all the sponsors and those in attendance for helping make the 2016 Summer Sounds Concert Series a success. Maynard also asked the crowd for support to continue having the concert series next year.
