A pair of area golf courses have planned Super Bowl Scramble tournaments the day before the NFL’s championship game.
Vineyard Golf Super Bowl Scramble
Amy Bailey of Vineyard Golf has announced a Super Bowl Two-Man Texas Scramble will be held Saturday, Feb. 11 with a shotgun start at noon. The cost to participate will be $50 for members and $70 for non-members.
Regular players will play the white tees while seniors (65 and older) will play the gold tees. All ladies will play the red tees.
There will be chicken bog and prizes following play. Entry deadline is Feb. 8.

Land ‘O Lakes Super Bowl Scramble
The Columbus County course located at 2950 Bill Hooks Road in Whiteville will have a two-player Super Bowl Texas Scramble, count one score, on Saturday, Feb. 11 with a noon shotgun start. Entry fee is $35 for members and $45 for guests. All teams will be flighted after play.
There will be a hotdog lunch with chips and drinks served before play. The course also will be selling squares for the Super Bowl pool for $5 each.
The scramble is limited to the first 40 teams. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m.
