Sheriff James A. McVicker said today (Wednesday, Oct. 18th) that a suspect in multiple breaking and entering cases in both Bladen and Sampson counties was arrested Saturday by deputies.

“Johnathan Colby Rigsbee, 23, of 954 Ruskin Road, White Oak, was taken into custody Saturday after being located by deputies,” said McVicker. “Rigsbee was charged with an October 2nd breaking and entering of a residence in the 900 block of Ruskin Road.”

Rigsbee was charged with two counts of larceny of a firearm, one count of felonious breaking and entering, one count of felonious larceny, one count of felonious possession of stolen goods and felony probation violation. He was placed under a $150,000 secured bond.

“Three guns, a chain hoist and air hose were stolen from this residence,” said McVicker. “Investigators have recovered the tools and two of the weapons in this case. This individual is a suspect in several breaking and entering cases my investigators are currently working on. In addition to our cases, we are working with Sampson County deputies to assist them in several cases where Rigsbee is a suspect. Rigsbee was out on bond after being charged with another breaking and entering that happened July 28th.”
