The Elizabethtown Police Department is seeking a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that ocurred at the Melton’s Restaurant. Lt. D. Cheshire said the robbery ocurred as the restaurant was closing on Saturday.

Lt. Cheshire said, “We do know one subject entered through the back door.” The suspect is described as wearing a camouflage coat with a hoodie and mask. He was also carrying a silver handgun.

Lt. Cheshire said once the man entered the building, he approached the three employees who were inside and demanded money at gun point. The suspect left through the back door and was last seen on foot heading toward the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts across the street. He may have entered a black SUV, said Lt. Cheshire.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with any information regarding the robbery, is asked to contact the Elizabethtown Police Department at 910-862-3152.
