Members of the Bladen County 10-and-Under Softball All-Stars are: Bella Robinson, Brenna Hester, Gracey Clark, Kali Allen, Aubrei Nixon, Leea Wilkins, Niyah Wooten, Tatum Allen, Jenna Brice, Taylor Dowless, Greer Pope, Karlee Gause and Addison Wilcox. Coaches are Alex Barbour, Jamie Brice, and David Allen.


HOLLY SPRINGS – Jenna Brice pitched a no-hitter and struck out ten batters to lead Bladen County to an 11-2 victory over Rolesville Friday night in the second round of the StateWide Activities Committee 10-and-Under Softball Sectional Tournament.

Bladen County will play a third-round winners bracket game at noon Saturday.

Brice allowed 4 walks and two of those walks came around to score runs in the first and second innings.

Brice reached base on a two-out error in the first inning. After Kali Allen walked, Niyah Wooten and Brenna Hester belted hits. Brice, Kali Allen and Wooten scored runs as Bladen took a 3-1 lead.

Taylor Dowless connected for a hit in the Bladen second inning and came around to score to keep the Bladen County lead at 4-2.

Brice drew a leadoff walk in the Bladen third inning, and Kali Allen and Wooten smashed hits to the outfield. Bella Robinson and Aubrei Nixon delivered hits as Brice, Kali Allen and Wooten scored to push the lead to 7-2.

Dowless walked, and Tatum Allen was hit by a pitch to start the Bladen fourth inning. Brice and Karlee Gause sandwiched hits around a walk to Wooten. Dowless, Tatum Allen and Brice scored runs as the lead grew to 10-2.

Nixon, Addison Wilcox and Tatum Allen smacked singles in the fifth inning, and Nixon scored the final Bladen run.

Wooten and Nixon both batted 2-for-2 to lead the Bladen County hitters. Tatum Allen, Brice, Kali Allen, Hester, Gause, Robinson, Wilcox and Dowless added one hit each to the Bladen attack. Brice scored three runs, and Kali Allen, Wooten and Dowless scored two runs each. Tatum Allen and Nixon scored one run each.
