The members of Tar Heel Baptist Church are preparing for a mission trip to El Salvador. Congregant Carmin Russ will be one of the seven church members to take part in the trip.
Congregant Beck Roberts has been to El Salvador before and she shared with the congregation about the mission opportunity with Kendrick Ministries. Russ said the mission trip will last for about six days and the group will be visiting schools and villages among other things and sharing the love of God.
Russ said that after working through the various outreach ministries at Tar Heel Baptist Church, including teaching Bible study and ministering to Southeastern Carolina Crossroads among other things, she felt led to take her faith a step further. Russ said that she and several church members including her husband will make the trip and are looking forward to the chance to share God’s love with others. While they are in El Salvador the group will be visiting schools and villages.
