Seven East Bladen Eagles – Xavier Wooten, Xavia McDowell, Sincere Smith, Caleb Strait, Lahkeyd Lesane, Tanner Meares and Davonta McIver – and three West Bladen Knights – B. J. Drake, Jonathan Robinson and Dayveon Swindell – have been named to the All-Three Rivers Conference football team.

All ten of the Bladen All-Conference selections are seniors. Twelve more Bladen football players – eight Eagles and four Knights – received honorable mention.

Headlining the list of all-league selections from the TRC tri-champion Eagles was Wooten who rushed for 1,841 yards and 29 touchdowns. Wooten rushed for 251 yards in the Eagles first-round win over James Kenan then racked up 309 yards and 6 touchdowns in their second round victory over Greene Central.

The versatile Sincere Smith threw for 2 touchdowns, ran for 2 touchdowns and had a pair of receiving touchdowns. Smith amassed 920 yards of total offense – passing, running, receiving and kick-returning. He also intercepted 3 passes and made 31 tackles on defense.

As a fullback McDowell ran for 478 yards and 4 touchdowns. From his linebacker position on defense he made 35 tackles and had 3 sacks.

McIver totaled 36 tackles, 2 sacks and came up with 3 fumble recoveries from his linebacker position. He also ran for two touchdowns on offense.

Offensive linemen Meares, Lesane and Strait paved the way for the East Bladen ground attack that averaged 36 points per game, 315 yards rushing and 361 yards of total offense.

Strait also made 31 tackles and had a fumble recovery, while Lesane was credited with 40 tackles.

Drake led the West Bladen offense with 1,423 yards and 20 touchdowns rushing. Against South Brunswick Drake ran for 238 yards and 3 touchdowns, and he had 218 yards and 2 touchdowns rushing in the Knights win over West Columbus.

Jonathan Robinson racked up a team-high 66 tackles from his defensive end positon. He also led the Knights with 4 sacks, and recovered two fumbles.

Swindell ran for 562 yards and 4 touchdowns and caught 7 passes for 212 yards and 3 touchdowns. Swindell scored 5 touchdowns – 3 rushing and 2 receiving – in West Bladen’s win over West Columbus. On defense Swindell intercepted 4 passes, recovered 2 fumbles and made 35 tackles.

Senior quarterback Quinton Bedsole, senior linebacker B. J. Robinson, senior defensive back Adonis Avery, senior tackle Tyrone Smith, junior running back Eric Chancy, junior cornerback Shy Pone, junior linebacker Dayveon Washington and sophmore center Jordan Stanley were the Eagles who receiving honorable mention.

Senior linebacker Jalen Drew, senior linebacker Bryan Haro, junior safety Kerron Washington and sophmore quarterback Tyre Boykin were the Knights who received honorable mention.
