After the discovery of an over eight feet tall snowman in Bladenboro, a Bladen Online reader shared with us another giant exhibition in Old Sparta, NC.

Following is the photo:

It is no secret that in these cold times, activities with family or friends are ideal for raising our spirits, keeping us active, and warming our hearts a little. From watching a movie marathon to solving a puzzle, and, of course, playing out in the snow!

What started as a simple winter activity led to the development of an idea of gigantic proportions. This time, the snowman’s height measures about 7 feet tall, and its construction took about 2 hours. Bladen Online got in contact with the snowman’s creators.

Our source, Angela Michelle Edwards, told us her son, Dustin Lilley, built the frozen spectacle. She expressed, “all this snow amazed us and gave him the perfect opportunity.” She added, “he’s pretty big, and we suppose he is frowning because he’s cold,” referring to the snowman. Indeed, he might not be the only one. More frosts are predicted for the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, a chance of rain and snow is expected for this Friday night, January 27th.
