Carolina Caledonian Fest and Lu Mil VineyardDUBLIN, NC – Lu Mil Vineyard & AKA Entertainment will host a Media/Information Day on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Lu Mil Vineyard. This gathering will officially introduce the first Carolina Caledonian Fest to be held on October 28, 29 & 30. 2016.  Our one-of-a-kind Scottish festival celebrates the 350 Scots who stepped off a ship in Brunswick Town, NC and trekked northwest along the Cape Fear River to found Bladen County and eventually establish the first & largest Scottish settlement in America.  This settlement became the Argyll Colony in the Cross Creek area of what is now Fayetteville.

Join us for a sneak preview of this new regional festival celebrating the history & heritage of the Gaelic speaking Highlanders who settled North Carolina’s Cape Fear Region.

It’s not just customary games and farcical portrayal of Highland culture.  It’s a reunion 275 years in the making.
