Noon-1PM on Thursday, November 9, 2017

Opioid addiction is of increasing concern to rural Illinois. Please join us for this free webinar to learn about how local government officials and community leaders can address the opioid crisis. Participants in this webinar will learn about the impact of opioids on Illinois, what the state and federal government are doing about it, and what local government or coalitions may do to address the crisis.

Our presenter, Heidi Clark, received her undergraduate degree at Stanford University, majoring in Human Biology with a concentration in Global Health and Development of Underserved Communities. She then moved to New York City to work in clinical research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. While in New York, she received her Masters of Public Health Degree from New York University. In 2016, she returned to her rural roots and moved to Schuyler County, Illinois. She is currently the Division Chief of Health Data and Policy at the Illinois Department of Public Health, where she oversees the Center for Rural Health and the Center for Health Statistics as well as helping with the IDPH response to the opioid crisis.

There is no cost to attend the webinar; however, REGISTRATION required. Register online or contact Nancy Ouedraogo at esarey@illinois.edu more information.
