RALEIGH – The following are highlights from this week at the N.C. Department of Transportation. The stories below are also featured in NCDOT Now, the department’s weekly newscast.

NCDOT Uses Digital Messages for COVID-19 Updates

The N.C. Department of Transportation continues to do its part to help spread the word to North Carolinians about the coronavirus. Last week, NCDOT put in place digital messages on more than 250 overhead highway signs statewide. The messages that say guide motorists to the state’s official website devoted to fighting COVID-19, ncdhhs.gov.

COVID-19 Latest: NCDHHS and NCDOT

The state’s health and human services’ web page is North Carolina’s trusted, official source to get the most accurate, up-to-date information on the coronavirus.

NCDOT will also provide updates as necessary.

Aviation Art Contest Results

Make sure to take time to check out the winners of the Aviation Art Contest. Even with limited time to promote it this year, NCDOT received more than 2,400 entries with the theme “Flying Yesterday and Tomorrow.” The images can be found on the NCDOT Flickr site or the Division of Aviation’s Facebook page.
