Clarkton’s Kayla Thompson came in 25th place in last weekend’s NWGA Flag USA Golf Tournament. Thompson (pictured, left) shot 80-76-77=233. The tournament was held in Findley, Ohio.
Thompson will be playing in the NWGA Spring Hill Tournament July 11-12 in Tifton, Georgia
Cade Hancock (pictured, right) participated last weekend in the North Carolina Amateur Golf Tournament held at The Governor’s Club in Chapel Hill.
Hancock, who is going to attend Mount Olive College in the fall, shot 78-68-78-77=301 and tied for 53rd place in the tournament, which was won by John Eades of Charlotte, who shot 273.
