Bladen County’s Kayla Thompson is scheduled to play in the National Women’s Golf Association Egg-Land’s Best tournament March 31-April 2 at Spring Hill Country Club in Tifton, Georgia.

The Spring Hill Country Club course is a 6,240-yard par-72 track. First place in the tournament will pay $10,000. The field will be limited to the first 78 players entering.

Thompson, a graduate of West Bladen High school and UNC Wilmington, has earned money in her last two tournaments. She finished fourth and won $500 in the NWGA Crane Lakes tournament in Florida. She took home $275 following a 36th place finish in the WAPT Coke-Dr. Pepper tournament in Louisiana.
