Wonder if senior citizens sometimes use up portions of their body….eyes, ears, teeth and more???
In a 2013 article, out of pocket medical expenses for a 65 year old couple averaged about $220,000 for the remainder of their retirement, the median annual cost for an assisted living community was about $41,000 per year at that time and for skilled nursing it was about $71,000 annually….cost varies, as do needs…
A few years of either amounts to some real money….bottom line, living is very expensive…but the most preferred alternative….
