Budget time anywhere is stressful, more so when reval numbers have not yet reached the point where an accurate number of the total value of the county can be determined….Gotta have that number before setting a tax rate…and there is time. Budget must be approved by July 1.
With a new jail mandated and all the needs of the various agencies, a slight increase may be necessary….That is my thought, after listening to budget request…..not coming from anyone involved in the process or with any inside info….
