Happy Mothers Day to all Mothers….My mom died years ago..Miss those
visits and conversations….
The next few hours promise to be interesting so far as weather is
concerned…Thunderstorms, 100% chance of rain, winds in the 25 to 30
mph range with gusts up to 45….Our next hope for sunshine and normal
Bladen County type weather will be Wednesday….Hold on, the ride
could be interesting…At least we are not along the coast….
The East Bladen reverse raffle and steak dinner was successful…and
hopefully fun for all…especially the winners…Actually, the biggest
winners are the student athletes who will benefit the most. That is
where the proceeds are directed…A few folks work hard to make sure
it is successful…For some of us, we just show up, eat and enjoy.
Had one of those ‘crazy dreams” where you walk all night
long…changed a tire or two…Woke up tired….but soon recovered….
Just wondering….about the status of the murder investigation of
Josephine and Aileen Davis…Joseph Sledge served over 30 years in
prison before being released and determined to be innocent….DA Jon
David said case would be re-opened….
Along the same lines….wonder about the status of the Lennon
Lacy..FBI investigation…..Lacy is the West Bladen student found
hanging on a swing set near his home in Bladenboro…After the inital
investigation, it was ruled a suicide…Several months later FBI was
requested to investigate…Just thinking out loud….
Bladen County schools sports teams could learn today or tomorrow who
their opponents will be in the state playoffs…It is not unusual for
the pairings to be announced on Saturday, after regular season play is
completed….A little later this year.
