For many, this is a day off the normal routine, maybe one of millions traveling our highways or using other forms of transportation…but for others, just another workday…..

Tuesday, May 28…
“Breakfast with the Congressman”, sponsored by the White Lake area Chamber of Commerce will be held at Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast tickets are $15 each.
Wednesday, May 27…
Summer registration at Bladen Community College….(see BladenOnline ad for details)
Thursday, May 28….
Bladen County Commissioners and the Board of Education will meet together to discuss budgets for the upcoming fiscal year. The meeting begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Cooperative Extension Office, 450 Smith Circle, Elizabethtown, NC.
Saturday, May 30…
Bladen County Relay for Life begins at 11 a.m. at the Elizabethtown Middle School Track. The event was scheduled for a couple of weeks go, but was re-scheduled due to inclement weather. Everyone is invited to attend.
Jones Lake State Park is offering a viewing of an installment of “Planet Earth.” The viewing will be located behind the Visitor Center beginning at 7:30 p.m. It’s free to the public. Bring the family, chairs, popcorn and drinks. Call Ranger John Prevatte for details at 910-588-4550.
