Thoughts While Shaving

Thoughts While ShavingCheck our list of Upcoming Events for activities this weekend… A “biggie” is Relay for Life Saturday (tomorrow) at the Elizabethtown Middle School athletic field… The event was scheduled a few weeks back but had to be postponed due to the weather… Forecast Saturday is for mostly sunny skies…The purple commodes with floral arrangements has apparently proven to be a good fundraiser.  Know those ladies in charge of that project are happy…it’s over. Many people have worked hard for the cause.

Growing old is some experience… Lose memory, hair, teeth, telephone, keys and more… But a good alternative to other options.
Ever drive though an area, anyplace and think… I am so happy I do not live here…then think, bet those folks would have the same thoughts when they think of the area we call home?
Speaking of calling Bladen County home… What would you like to see added to our county that would keep our rural “flavor” in place but enhance the entire area?  Just something to think about… Let me name a few… a “pot” of money so we could build new schools…excuse me… close some schools and strategically locate new schools, where needed. Another would be more “good paying” jobs… A new hospital with room for supporting services in the area.
What the heck, something to think about and nearly everyone enjoys a good dream.
We are blessed with some good eating places… For a rural area, think anyone would be “hard pressed” to match Elizabethtown for good restaurants.
Men are like bank accounts.  Without a lot of money, they don’t generate much interest.
A pat on the back is only a few centimeters from a kick in the pants.
Don’t be irreplaceable, if you can’t be replaced, you can’t be promoted.
