Today… Bladen County Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting at 4 p.m. and their regular meeting is planned for 6:30, both in the Commissioners meeting room in the courthouse.
Elizabethtown Town Council has a 12 noon work session planned and their regular meeting will be held at 7 p.m. All the meetings are open to the public.
According to the Bladen County Sheriff’s department, those arrested related to the video sweepstakes “bust’ Friday will have their first hearing before a judge today.
The Garland resident who became the target of a statewide Silver Alert since early last week, ended Sunday. 72 year old William Earl Powell was found, safe, but dehydrated. He was airlifted to a Wilmington hospital. Powell was found near the Sampson/Bladen County line.
