Bladen County Commissioners have scheduled another workshop on their proposed 2015-16 budget. It will be held at 6 p.m. today in their meeting room in the courthouse…and Bladenboro Town Council has scheduled a Public Hearing on their 2015-16 budget this evening….Both meetings are open to the public.Now that the school year is over…we need to be more aware of youngsters moving around….on foot and behind the steering wheel.

The NBA championship series is even after 2 games…In a couple of other sporting events…Martin Truex, Jr.’s win appears to be a popular win among the NASCAR community and in the Jack Nicklaus Memorial golf tournament, it took 3 extra holes to produce a winner….A Swede defeated an Englishman….David Lingmerth defeated Justin Rose for the win…

This time last year, the golf course was a huge concern… Not this year… Golfers can drop off the family at White Lake and head to Vineyard Golf at White Lake… I am told it is in great condition… and play continues to grow….
