If you missed the ‘Made in the Shade’ Classic Car and Truck show in Elizabethtown, you missed a treat…one of the largest display of cars and people I have seen in this area in a long, long time…..even with the seemingly constant threat of rain…The setting was just right, under the pecan trees, a wide range of autos and trucks and people. Job well done to organizers…. If my memory is not playing games, it was the second year in a row that it either rained or there was the threat of rain.
Proceeds benefit the area through worthy causes…
The Board of Education has much to say “grace” over….A new school year is here…The state budget has not been approved….no principal at East Bladen…(at least no announcement)….and consolidation appears to be a “must”….not this year, but soon….Student numbers are dropping..now below 5,000. So much to do, so little time and no idea of the funding limit…
Should be a beautiful day..weatherwise…after church, a great time to do what you want to do….High should top out in the mid to high 80’s and mostly sunny.
I am guessing, it appears to have been a good year for White Lake…and the tourist are so important to our area….The vacationers come with money. They shop, they eat out, they play golf and they pay sales tax…Welcome, come back soon and bring your friends….
