Thoughts While ShavingThe Summer Sounds Concert series at Cape Fear Farmers Market has been well received and last night’s concert appears to have been the best to date….Good music featuring ‘the Fantastic Shakers’…..great weather and a big crowd….It is good for folks to come together and have a fun time….Congratulations to the organizers.. One more planned for this season….Thursday, August 27…featuring ‘Black Water Rhythm and Blues.’

Church camps are popular…Wesley’s Chapel’s youngsters and adults will be at the FFA Camp beginning this afternoon and continues through Sunday….

As younger parents I recall going to Singletary Lake several years, and once or twice to Camp Dixie…and even as a youngster growing up at Zion Hill Baptist Church, I had the pleasure of attending the Baptist camp in Brunswick County….Days that left lasting impressions…

A week from tonight, high school football begins…..for East and West High….and the Bladen Sports Network will be ‘doing their thing’ again….Ricky, Dan, Joe, Ron and RGH….Hope you enjoy as much as we do….Sponsors are lined up…but always time for one more…if you would like your business to be included….Call either of us….
