Thoughts While ShavingOne business that never seems to slow is the funeral homes business…We continue to lose some good folks…The past few days reads like a “who’s who” in the area. They will be missed.

There is much conversation about the presidential hopefuls…Years ago, the candidates “stepped up” their campaigning after Labor Day…Think it has been “stepped up” for sometime. Will be interesting to see who remains at the beginning of the New Year…as we go through the “weeding out” process…

Venus and Serena Williams will meet in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Tennis tournament…

Carl Edwards won the Southern 500 NASCAR race at Darlington, SC. Brad Keselowski finished second, followed by Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, and Kurt and Kyle Bush in that order. It was Edwards first win of the year.

The E-town merchants sidewalk sale continues today…

White Lake visitors enjoy another day on the lake or in the lake…and schools reopen tomorrow after the Labor Day holiday…

What do you expect from Apple this week? New phone, maybe or maybe a new TV? Hopefully something will “kick-start” the economy…
