Can’t blame the weather…best I can tell….The weather is perfect for any outdoor activity….
Farmers are busy harvesting their crops….the corn stalks are on the ground and the corn in a bin…Hope the crop is good….Farming is still the backbone of Bladen’s economy.
Rally in Raleigh is planned for October 1. A flyer begins with ‘Protect North Carolina Farm Families’. The state rally follows a couple of rallies in the local area. Over 11,000 have signed up for the Raleigh Rally. The supporters of the rally accuse ‘The Waterkeeper Alliance” of attacking North Carolina farmers. Check our complete line-up of high school sports activities…they are listed at the bottom of our sports page….The football schedule for this weekend includes Wilmington’s Laney at East Bladen. West Bladen has an open date. Both teams begin conference play September 25.
Clinton, Wallace Rose-Hill and the two Bladen County teams are expected to be the ‘cream of the conference.’ However, a team like Midway could be a spoiler….
Who do you expect the Republican and Democratic parties will select as their candidates for President? Don’t think I have heard from my candidate…Not sure who it is or will be…..
