Thoughts While Shaving
Each week the BladenOnline team works hard covering events countywide and each week, Google Analytics provides us with lots of information, including pages viewed. And, each week our goal is 100,000 or more views. Last week, for the first time in several weeks, we came up about 1,200 short, it was a slow news week. This week, watch for our numbers to climb back over 100,000, in fact well over that mark.
We know you make the difference and we thank you. But, this week we are sharing the credit with Erin Smith, our new editor.  We have a good team, a very good team.  And, the two of us, our team and our readers are a great team.  I remind you that The Best Is Yet To Come.
Speaking of ‘pages viewed,’ for the first few years, I used ‘hits’ and that was a good ‘measuring device’ to show how BladenOnline was growing. We discovered the media folks, the folks that measure the effectiveness of a publication use ‘pages viewed’, so we began using that as well.  Now you know.
Some great college football action yesterday.  Carolina beat, beat Duke, The Wolfpack was a winner, Clemson over Florida State, Miami over Virginia, Louisville over Syracuse, Notre Dame downed Pitt, all in ACC conference play.
ECU was defeated by South Florida.  The Pirates are 4-6 for the season.
While I am on the topic of football, both Bladen County teams will advance in state playoffs in the 2A division.  East Bladen host Graham Friday night and West Bladen will travel to Kinston for 1st round action.
A conclusion is a place where you get tired of thinking.
If you tell the truth you don’t have to remember anything.
Oops, my brain just hit a blank sector.
