Our world is changing and we have a ringside seat in front of our TV. As expected, some for the better, but some not good.
Remember when we knew everyone around us, may have a ‘strange’ neighbor, but neighbors took care of neighbors. Fast forward to today….For many……no idea who our neighbors are.
Bladen County will have a mother-daughter combo participating in the 17th season of The Biggest Loser. Vicki and Lauren Clark of Bladenboro will be on the next edition beginning on Monday, January 4th at 9 AM.

Filing for numerous local, state and U.S. political offices continues at the Bladen County Board of Elections. Think you can do the job and better represent Bladen, you should file for an office.
What are your thoughts on the latest shooting in California? The scary think about all the violence is, it can happen anyplace…including here. They walk among us daily.
From my limited view, thousands of miles from California, action by combined law enforcement agencies, was impressive.
On a personal note, our favorite grand-daughter, our only grand-daughter has received exciting news. She has been accepted at the ECU dental school, the University of Maryland dental school and is waiting for word from the UNC dental school. She is currently a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill. Morgan Caroline Hester is the daughter of Rick and Caroline Hester and we, Sarah and I, share grand-parenting with Glen and Betty Jo Cain of Bladenboro. All are proud of her accomplishments. A final decision is expected when all have been heard from.
