The ACC football championship was exciting to the end. Clemson is the winner, remains undefeated and should remain at the top of the national poll…

The Tar Heels scored in the final couple of minutes of the game to keep their hopes alive, but fell to the Tigers 45-37. Nearly 75,000 fans witnessed the event in person and many times that watched on TV.

Another big winner, Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.

BladenOnline had another huge week. I am amazed at the continued growth of the online newspaper. Strong support from the area residents, the business community and a dedicated staff. BladenOnline continues to blaze the news trail. It was/is needed…and, The Best Is Yet To Come.

Bladen County Commissioners elect or re-elect a chairman and vice-chairman at their 6:30 p.m. meeting Monday in the courthouse. Charles Ray Peterson has served as chair for the past year and Russell Priest as vice-chairman. It is all about who can “muster” up 5 votes.

Same is true at the Board of Education.

Filing continues for political offices for another couple of weeks.

The Sabbath Day has arrived. Hope you attend church someplace today.

Quoting from the good book:

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Mark 2:27 ESV

Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work. It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places. Leviticus 23:3 ESV

So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. Genesis 2:3 ESV
