Carolina Panthers remain undefeated,  their latest victory was an exciting 41-38 comeback win over the New Orleans Saints.

Bladen County Commissioners meet at 6:30 p.m. today.  A chairman and vice-chair will be elected…or re-elected.  The meeting is open to the public.

Elizabethtown Town Commissioners hold a work session at 12 noon, and their regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m.

Reflecting on past months, years.  It has been 12 months since the FBI began their investigation of the Lennon Lacy case in Bladenboro.  Remember, the West Bladen student discovered hanging in a mobile home park in the western part of the town?  Shortly after the discovery, officials ruled the death a suicide, his family called for further investigation and FBI took over the case.

Today, more rain.  We had a drought early and much rain in recent months.  Farmers have had a difficult year.  Our annual average rainfall is in the range of 48 to 50 inches, or about an inch weekly.  Today, we add to the yearly total.

Have you completed your Christmas shopping?  Have you done any Christmas shopping?  We (the Hester family) fall in the later category.

Always enjoy Christmas parties and have couple on the agenda for this week.

Nothing is fool proof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Why is the day that you do laundry, cook, clean, iron and so, called a day off?

How do construction workers party?  They raise the roof.
