Christmas Eve is just a week away.

Our weather has been so nice recently, there is a possibility of thunderstorms later today.  Plan accordingly.  One weather source indicates Christmas Day should be cloudy with a high of 72 degrees.  But, forecasting that far into the future is risky at best.

Still little or no interest in upcoming election.  Deadline for filing is 12 noon Monday.

Looking back in history.  In 1946, County Commissioners included M.L. Fisher of Elizabethtown, H.J. White of Bladenboro and F.L. Tatum of White Oak.

Our Events, news and sports sections provides info on fun things to do over the next few days in the area.

DJ Mason, former West Bladen basketball standout, continues his good play at Campbell….another double-double last night to lead the Camels to an 87-53 win over Johnson & Wales.  The game was played at Buies Creek.  See details on our sports page.

Speaking of athletes, EB’s Lacey Suggs continues her outstanding play.  Last night, she scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in leading her team to a 64-36 win over conference foe, Midway.  Watching her play is worth the price of admission.

Can you imagine keeping up with happenings in the area prior to 2008?  That is when BladenOnline was “birthed”.   It is our pleasure to keep you informed about Bladen County events, provided by Bladen County folks who live in Bladen….We love what we do.  And…The Best Is Yet To Come.  Add your business to the BladenOnline website and, grow with us.  We just posted our best numbers ever last week, according to Google Analytics.

Wonder what our ancestors would say about paying $1 or more for a bottle of water?

What hair color do they put on the driver’s license of bald men?

Why doesn’t glue stick to the inside of the container?

Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?
