I enjoy browsing Facebook and Twitter. But, some of what I see, mostly passed on from one individual to another, by many who never consider the source, bothers me.
So, my visits are mostly for amusement. Good folks belittling one group or another, one candidate or the other. The attitude seems to be, If it agrees with what I think, I will pass it on, spread the garbage, never attempting to confirm. To each his/her own.
Then we go to church and talk about how we are to love on another.
My messages consist of two words, Happy Birthday.
Well, the bad weather we expected yesterday did not come to our area, however others not to far away did experience it.
The National Weather Service forecast for Bladen County for today is, and I quote as of early Sunday morning, “Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a nigh near 89. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.”
The British Open Golf tournament concludes today, shortly after noontime, our time.
