Thoughts While Shaving
We have another few days of summertime type high temps before relief arrives.
Some folks should be banned from using social media, forever, sick.
Park rangers will lead a discussion about bears, at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jones Lake State Park Visitor Center.  It’s free, if you need more info, call 910-588-4550.  The following Saturday, learn about compasses, including how to use them.  Always interesting programs at the Park.
The Annual Bladenboro Historical Society’s Fun Day is set for Saturday, September 10th, at the Historical Building.  Enjoy a pancake breakfast beginning at7:30 a.m.  Events continue throughout the day until 4 p.m. including music by ‘The Loose Floorboards’.
North Carolina is drawing much attention as we get closer to the November 8 presidential election.  The ballot will also include a full slate of state and local officials seeking political office.  Visit the Bladen County Board of Elections website for more info.
Not sure which was worse, the high winds associated with the storm that came calling last weekend, or the debris it left behind.  The 6 plus inches of rain was welcomed.

My doctor told me that jogging could add years to my life.  He was right–I feel ten year’s older already.
Whenever I fill out an application, in the part that says “if any emergency, notify: “I put “DOCTOR”.  What’s my mother going to do?
