Thoughts While Shaving
Did you remember to change your clock/watch?  Fall back to regular time.
One stop voting is over and 9,632, or 42% of the 23,036 eligible voters in Bladen County have cast their ballot.  In the last presidential contest, 4 years ago, overall, 69% of those eligible voted.  another 6,325 will need to vote on Tuesday to match that number.  Polls open at all 17 voting locations in the county at 6:30 AM and will close at 7:30.  Hopefully, we will know who the winners in Bladen County and North Carolina, before we go to bed.  The choice for president may not be known ’til later as polls close from east to west across the USA.
Homecomings are a normal part of our fall season at churches in Bladen and across the area.  Today, no doubt many, including Wesley’s Chapel, Peanut Plant Road Elizabethtown.  Sunday School at 9:45 AM, Worship at 11 and lunch shortly after noon.  All are invited.
Four County EMC had to delay their usual Annual Meeting due to ‘one’ Hurricane Mathew.  The meeting will be held Monday beginning at 5 PM in Kenansville.  All members are encouraged to attend.
The Annual Meeting of Star Telephone Membership Corporation will be held Saturday, November 12 in Bladen County.  Meeting begins at 10 AM at Bladen Community College Auditorium.  More info coming.
