I love calling North Carolina home.
In the past 30 days, we have seen temps in a range from low to mid 30s to 80s. Experienced a hurricane with too much rain, then several absolutely perfect fall days with no rain, and now, in the western part of the state, a drought.
Did I see or hear Bob Woodward was writing another book about our current times? Not sure, but I hope so.
As we look back, what was going on behind the scenes in the camps of both political parties? What role did the FBI Director play, if any?
I hope that soon-to-be President Trump puts together a great team, and we have much success. We shall see.
Bladen County Commissioners meet Monday, the last real ‘work meeting’ for 4 member, Blanks, Pait, Smith and Edge. Officially, their term does not expire until the first meeting in December, but after that meeting is called to order and minutes approved, their term is over and they give up their seats. Four new members will be sworn in, a Chairman and Vice-Chairman elected, and it’s business as usual.
A huge shake up in college football yesterday. Highly ranked teams lost, including previously unbeaten Clemson, as well as Washington and Michigan.
In high school play, East Bladen’s Eagles (7-4) will host Farmville Central (6-5) next Friday in the opening round of the NCHSAA Class 2A Football Playoffs. The winner will play the winner of the Ayden Grifton-Red Springs game.
The hardest moments are a calling to something greater.
