The weather is our big news story, and will be for the next few hours.
Overnight, we have had light rainfall, 0.8 inches at the Hester household southwest of Elizabethtown and slightly less, 0.75 inches at the Curtis Brown Field Airport, east of E-town.
Low temp as of 7:00 AM Saturday was 33 degrees, recorded by the National Weather Service, at the local airport. We did have a slight ice glaze on our pump house early this AM.
A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect through early this PM, with a chance of sleet, high near 32, north wind 16 to 20 mph, with gust up to 31 mph. 100% chance of precipitation, but little or no sleet accumulation expected.
Tonight, mostly clear, with a low around 13. Wind chill values as low as t10. North wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
Sunday, Sunny with a high near 31. Wind chill values as low as 10. North wind around 9 mph.
Bundle up if you are headed outside.
Wonder if America has not been “hoodwinked” by the Soviet Union. Before you pass on what maybe a fake news article, check FactCheck.org or Snopes.com. Just Google, ‘how to recognize a fake news story’.
This is not a Republican or Democrat problem, this is a USA problem and a bi-partisan response is needed. Think Congress understands. Hope others do as well.
Larrell Murchison, former East Bladen football stand-out, has committed to play at Ole Miss and twin brother Farrell is still exploring options. Understand he has visited Kentucky and Marshall, maybe others. Nothing is official until February 5th, National Signing Day. The duo have had 2 great years at Louisburg. Looking forward to watching them on the tube.
