If you waited all day long yesterday (Saturday) for the NCHSAA basketball playoff pairings, and they never came, so did I. Postponed until today (Sunday).
From the did you know department; North Carolina has seen an uptick in the number of women appointed to County and City manager positions. According to a recent article in the Asheville Times, 8 females served as county managers in the 100 North Carolina counties in 2014. This year, 21 women are serving in that position. 15 percent of local government managers across the nation are females, according to a spokesperson at the UNC School of Government. Buncombe County is home to the longest serving female manager in the state. Wanda Greene was hired in 1997 when only one other manager was in the that role in North Carolina, according to the paper.
