Shared a meal recently with 90 year old Carl Lamm of Smithfield, NC. Mr. Lamm has been in radio 70 years and can still be heard from 1pm to 4 pm, Monday thru Friday on WTSB, 1090 on your AM dial in the Four Oaks/Smithfield area. An amazing broadcaster. He was a huge Yankee baseball fan in the 50s, 60s and 70s, and has numerous recorded interviews of former New York Yankee stars including Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford and others. One has Mantle doing an ID for a former station he owned.

Enjoyed some time yesterday with out of town friends, two former county managers I worked with for 25 years in my role as Field Rep for the NC Association of County Commissioners. Brought back wonderful memories.

College basketball moves to center stage this weekend as March Madness continues. UNC Tar Heels vs Butler Bulldogs, Friday, 7:09 PM on CBS. The game will be played in Phoenix.
