The 15th is on Saturday and April 17 is Emancipation Day in Washington, DC. Under tax law, legal holidays in DC affects the filing deadline across the nation.
Lots of activities on the weekend agenda, including a fundraiser Saturday afternoon and evening in Bladenboro. The Events Committee is sponsoring a fundraiser for a youngster suffering from leukemia. Food and fun are on the agenda beginning mid afternoon and continues thru the evening meal.
NCAA semi-finals are set for Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday. South Carolina vs Gonzaga at 6:09 PM and UNC plays Oregon at 8:49 PM.
