Bladen We Care’s 28th Annual Byron Gooden Golf Tournament fund-raiser is underway at Vineyard Golf, White Lake today. Approximately 50 teams of 4 are participating with proceeds benefiting Bladen County residents who are ‘falling through the cracks in our healthcare system.’
If you do not play golf and cannot or do not plan to attend the upcoming Gala, donations are welcomed. Proceeds benefit males of all ages who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. One other issue related to Southeastern Carolina Crossroads. Financial donations are welcomed as are ‘new or slightly used’ clothing items for males. A reminder of the Bladen County Board of Education’s Community Forum meetings that address the proposed consolidation situation. Your attendance and comments are welcomed for these important meetings scheduled throughout the county. It’s your opportunity to have input on this important issue. Not all will be happy regardless of the final decision, but your voice will be heard.
