Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the US for remembering the people who died while serving in the country’s armed forces, not to be confused with Veteran’s Day when we celebrate the service of all US military veterans.
Memorial Day is a kick-off of sorts for the summer season, especially for White Lake. Many seasonal visitors patronize local retail outlets including food stores and restaurants….lines may be longer, but they support Bladen, they pay sales tax too.
